Connect Your Domain to AurexHost (Nameservers or DNS Records)

Last updated: …

This guide shows two ways to point your domain to AurexHost: Option A (change nameservers) or Option B (keep current DNS and add A/AAAA/MX/CNAME/TXT records). Choose whichever fits your setup.

Option A — Change Nameservers (Recommended)

Best for 99% of users. Your DNS will be managed automatically by AurexHost/cPanel.

Steps

  1. Log in at your domain registrar.
  2. Locate the Nameservers settings.
  3. Set them to the values in your Welcome Email (example):
    ns1.your-host.tld
    ns2.your-host.tld
  4. Save changes.
  5. Wait for propagation (15m to 4h).

What happens next?

  • Your domain will load from AurexHost.
  • AutoSSL will issue automatically.
  • You manage DNS in cPanel Zone Editor.

Option B — Keep Current DNS & Point Records

Use this if you prefer to keep DNS at Cloudflare or your registrar.

Minimum Web Records

TypeNameValueTTL
A@YOUR_SERVER_IP300
AwwwYOUR_SERVER_IP300
AAAA@ / wwwYOUR_SERVER_IPV6300

Email Records (if email on AurexHost)

TypeNameValueNotes
MX@mail.domain.tldPriority 10
AmailYOUR_SERVER_IPIMAP/SMTP
TXT@v=spf1 a mx ip4:YOUR_SERVER_IP ~allSPF

SSL & Propagation Tips

  • AutoSSL issues within 5–30 minutes.
  • Propagation varies by ISP/TTL.
  • If using Cloudflare proxy, use SSL mode “Full”.

Troubleshooting

  • Website not loading? Check your A/AAAA or nameservers.
  • SSL pending? Ensure the domain resolves to AurexHost.
  • Email issues? Verify MX/SPF/DKIM/DMARC.
